Kid Crafts: Recycled Crayons

Ever wonder what to do with all the crayon pieces that end up at the bottom of the crayon bucket? It seems a shame to toss them out but what are you supposed to do with them?

How about:

For precise (and easy) directions on how to transform your crayon scraps into recycled works of art check out Makes and Takes. I just discovered the site and Marie, the site founder comes up with all sorts of fantastic activities. Definitely worth checking out!

Mom Alert $3 off Huggies Diapers!

Coupons.com just loaded their May coupons and one of the coupons is for $3 off Huggies diapers. Print it before they’re all gone. Check the blue coupon box for other great coupon deals too!

My personal favorites include the $2 off CPK frozen pizzas and the $1 off Special K and other select Kellogs cereals (including kid cereals!). Usually you get $1 off the purchase of two or more boxes of cereal so get $1 off ONE box of cereal is a great deal. Remember you can print 2 of each coupon on each computer you have access to… :)

Snack Time: Genius!

There is nothing worse in the world then a genius idea that goes uncelebrated. I found a cute website with fun (and cheap) ideas for kid crafts and snacks and forgot to bookmark it. I REALLY should have.

Perhaps we can rely on the its-a-small-world theory and hope she finds her way here to claim her idea.

Ever notice how much kids LOVE trying every sample in the store? I’ve seen kids who refuse to ordinarily stand in the same room as a fish dinner happily consume shrimp cocktail just because it came in a Dixie Cup from Costco. It’s almost miraculous.

Well, one enterprising mom decided to exploit embrace this Dixie Cup theory and created the “Costco Lunch.”

What a hilarious lunch for little kids! Put one kid on each side and give them the 6 muffin rounds closest to them with dessert in the back. GENIUS!

$10 off $50 or more at Osh Kosh

Might be a good time to stock up for baby showers and kid gifts. You can’t use Mr. Rebates or ebates.com but you can still get GymBucks and free shipping on purchases of $100 or more. Not bad!
