31 cent scoops for Firefighters

As a Southern California native I will always have a special place in my heart for firefighters so I can absolutely get behind Baskin-Robbins’s new promotional.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 5pm -10pm it is 31 Cent Scoop Night at Baskin-Robbins®. Participants will contribute towards a $100,000 donation to the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) National Junior Firefighter Program.

Participating stores will reduce prices of small ice cream scoops to 31 cents*. At some locations, you may also have an opportunity to make a donation to local fire charities.

As always, call in advance to find out if your local store is participating. For more information about the promotion click HERE.

Earth Day Freebies!

There are a ton of freebies in honor of earth day! Check out your options HERE at Yahoo.

I just found out about the discount haircut:

For Earth Week 2009, Paul Mitchell has kicked off “Cut Hair, Not Trees.” From April 20 through 24, Paul Mitchell schools will cut your hair for $10 to $15. There are over 100 locations where you can get this recession-friendly cut, and all hair clippings will be donated to Matter of Trust, which makes human hair mats to clean up oil spills. Visit PaulMitchellTheSchool.com to find a Paul Mitchell school near you.

My advice is to call first to make sure the deal applies.

Happy Earth Day!
