Must Read Blogs (Craft Ideas)

Okay I’m not very crafty (as in I stink creatively) so I have to find other people’s genius for inspiration. I mostly like to stalk craft blogs but I also occasionally find non-professional blogs with adorable crafty ideas. Here they are, mixed together, in no particular order.

1. Here is a FANTASTIC children’s bathroom decoration setup (including how to change ugly light fixtures). Click HERE for that.

2. There is also the Be Different, Act Normal blog which has all kinds of cute ideas. (Okay I’ll admit the confetti monogram makes my inner neat-freak cringe but the rest is cool). Check out her stuff HERE.

3. It’s never too late to be patriotic (although I meant to blog this in early July) but Serendipity’s blog has a totally adorable idea for an American Flag. Check it out HERE.

4. Zakka life, one of my favorite craft blogs came up with Delightful Candy Favors. I recommended them for a neighbor’s daughters birthday party. Those kids were CRAZY hyper.

Let me know what other crafty sites you love. I’m collecting links!

Free Tow for Tipsy Drivers on 4th of July

You’ve probably heard of free cab rides home on drunken holidays like today. AAA is taking it one step further. Not only will they take YOU home, they’ll bring your car. For free. AAA is offering its Tipsy Tow program on most drunken holidays.

The holidays include:

  • Super Bowl: February 1, 6 p.m. to February 2, 6 a.m.
  • St. Patrick’s Day: March 17, 6 p.m. to March 18, 6 a.m.
  • Cinco de Mayo: May 5, 6 p.m. to May 6, 6 a.m.
  • Independence Day: July 4, 6 p.m. to July 5, 6 a.m.
  • Labor Day: September 7, 6 p.m. to September 8, 6 a.m.
  • Halloween: October 31, 6 p.m. to November 1, 6 a.m.
  • Thanksgiving: November 26, 6 p.m. to November 27, 6 a.m.
  • Christmas Eve: December 24, 6 p.m. to December 25, 6 a.m.
  • If you’re too drunk to drive, and your car is parked within a set number of miles from your home, you can get a free tow. You don’t even necessarily have to be a member depending on where you live. Just call 800-AAA-HELP (800-222-4357) and ask them what the rules are for the “tipsy tow” in your area. A driver will pick you and your car up, and give you a one-way ride home.

So, if you must drive, stay within 5 miles from your house, and AAA has your back. NICE!
