The only requirement is that you regularly post your thoughts about the Palm phone you’re using on the web (on blogs and social networking sites). You may also be asked to blog on Palm’s Facebook page or blogs (cool!)

Just fill out this eight-question survey and tell Palm a bit about yourself. You must be 18 years old and a US resident to be eligible.

3M $5 off coupons Command Hooks

Okay this stuff is awesome. These little hooks are amazing. and 3M is giving you up to $5 off their three different products. My only warning is this does NOT work as well with textured surfaces so be careful!

For the video of what they are (pretty short) click HERE

For the coupons only just go HERE

Oh, and the metal hooks look very elegant if you plan to put them in plain sight (I usually use them in closets and things).

The coupons expire on June 22nd but if you use them at CVS this week you get $5 extrabucks back for $15 worth of 3M purchases. That’s a pretty great deal!

More FREE ice cream: Haagen-Dazs

Well, it looks like more free ice cream opportunities are just around the corner.

On May 12th Haagen-Dazs (yes I eat it but I can never remember how to spell it so bear with me it took me three tries to get that right) is giving away a free scoop of any Bee-built ice cream. I wasn’t aware of this but apparently a LOT of our food is thanks to bees and those bees are currently in danger so Haagen-Dazs is working hard to alert the public (good for them!) Click the image to find a local Haagen-Dazs location for your free scoop.

And click HERE to find out more about the Honey Bee Crisis and how you can help.

Homemade Gift for Mom

I found this picture the other day. I was in a hurry and neglected to copy the link so if you happen to know where this is from let me know and I’ll link accordingly.

Anyway, how brilliant is this as a gift idea for a mother’s day gift!

It’s totally cute and frugal and it shows effort (moms love that right?). I can just imagine how cute this would be if those cookies were decorated by little kids. Perfect for Grandmas too! You can pick a favorite cookie and find a cutter and you’re good to go.

You can use Square Cookie Cutters, Square Rippled Cookie Cutters, Star Cookie Cutters, Heart Cookie Cutters or if you’re both creative AND talented you can try Making Your OWN cookie cutters.

The pot part is easy Michael’s always has discounts. If you subscribe to the Sunday paper they usually have a circular with a 40% a purchase of $5 or more coupon (love it!). This way you can buy a totally cute gift pot that can be used for seedlings or herbs later. You can also buy cookie cutters from Michaels, the coupon applies to everything.

Add some Green Floral Foam and bamboo skewers or lollipop sticks for the cookies. Wrap the pot in colored tissue and you’re all set!

A great gift idea for under $5 once you have all the materials.

HUGE time saver!

I love discounts. I love free stuff. I love saving time. It turns out I can have all three of these things and so can you!

When I first started my money-saving adventures I would scour the local store circulars. The problem with that is there are so many stores out there I couldn’t possibly look at every circular every week and try to find the discounts. And now I don’t have to!

For those of us who love CVS/Pharmacy there is a blog that does a rundown of weekly CVS discounts. I heart CVS

This week at CVS you can get free shampoo, free bandaids (yes, the actual Band-aid brand), and save a lot of money on other stuff! (If you’re a John Freida fan this is totally the week to stock up!)

And the Walgreens fans should be really delighted to discover I heart WAGS.

This week at Walgreens you can get Buy One Get One Free Edy’s Ice Cream!  There are a bunch of other deals too but that one was the one that caught my eye since the weather here in Southern California is already REALLY hot (104 last week and it’s not even May!)

I wish there was a blog like this with store circulars for every store. The problem is most stores have regional prices so it’s not always the same but these two blogs in particular seem to be universal. Genius!

31 cent scoops for Firefighters

As a Southern California native I will always have a special place in my heart for firefighters so I can absolutely get behind Baskin-Robbins’s new promotional.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 5pm -10pm it is 31 Cent Scoop Night at Baskin-Robbins®. Participants will contribute towards a $100,000 donation to the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) National Junior Firefighter Program.

Participating stores will reduce prices of small ice cream scoops to 31 cents*. At some locations, you may also have an opportunity to make a donation to local fire charities.

As always, call in advance to find out if your local store is participating. For more information about the promotion click HERE.

Free Chick-fil-A for a Year!

Okay first and foremost I’d like to state in writing that I do not encourage people to live on fast food. However, I received a survey in my email box this week as a Chick-fil-A® Email Insiders subscriber (I never know how this stuff happens but it goes to my deals email address so I’m not that worried about it). In the email it says by participating in the 2009 Email survey I will earn a chance to be one of 10 people selected to receive Chick-fil-A® for a year.

The survey will take between 5-10 minutes and is geared toward helping them figure out how to better market to me. Of course.

I’ll admit I filled it out more out of curiosity then anything else. According to the survey itself my odds of winning a Prize are approximately 1:51,943; however, actual odds will depend on the number of eligible entries received.

I’ve never met anyone whose won one of these things and some day I’d like to so I’ve decided to spread the word. The giveaway period ends on April 30th so hurry up and give it a shot. Just remember your “deals” email address!

For the survey click HERE (I have no idea if others can take it but you might as well give it a shot, right?) So let me know if it works for you…

Lame Adventures at Home Depot

Okay, note to my readers. When you see something cool happening at Home Depot University like a Drywall class, you should register. And when you register, you should do so for the store you’ll actually be near at 2pm on the designated Sunday and not just expect to drop in on a random Home Depot 20 miles away because you were in the area. That store might not have a Drywall class. And it’s likely that the only guy in the store that can do drywall might be out to lunch.

But don’t ask how I know all this. *sigh*

No drywall class for me. I’m hoping they decide to repeat next month.
